DESCRIPTION

RB-P2 is a powerful plasticizer based on lignosulfonate which disperses and deflocculates cement particles whilst delaying the hydration process, thereby retarding the initial and final set. It can be used to improve workability without the addition of extra water, or to allow reductions in the free water content. Due to improved dispersion of the cement particles the process of hydration proceeds under the optimum conditions, leading to improved strength characteristics with or without reduction in free water.

DOSAGE

A dosage range of 0.5kg to 1 kg per 100 kg cement is recommended as a starting point.

Note: don’t use more than 1.2 kg RB-P1 per 100 kg cement.

DIRECTION FOR USE

RB-P2 should be added to the concrete mix during the mixing cycle at the same time as the water and the aggregates. The maximum effect is achieved when the RB-P2 is added after the addition of 50 to 70 % of the water. Never add RB-P2 to the dry cement. Keep mixing at high rate for 60 seconds in order to complete mixing.

STORAGE

RB-P2 should be stored in original containers and at above 5 degrees Centigrade. If frozen gradually thaw and agitate until completely reconstituted.

SAFETY

RB-P2 is not a fire or health hazard. Spillages should be washed down immediately with cold water. For further information refer to the material safety data sheet
